Conservatory Garden: E105 - The Central Garden
The Central Park visitor passes through the Vanderbilt Gate
into a classic Italian garden.
Stretching out before them is a magnificent rectangular lawn with cleanly geometric hedges.
Paths border the grass lawn at the north and south lined by Siberian crabapple trees
, which bloom with fragrant pink and white blossoms in the spring. At the far west end is the Woodland Slope and a wisteria pergola. At the foot of the pergola is the Central Carden Fountain
with its high misting spray.
