Conservatory Garden: E105 - The Central Garden
The Central Park visitor passes through the
Vanderbilt Gate into a classic Italian garden.
Stretching out before them is a magnificent rectangular lawn with cleanly geometric hedges.
Paths border the grass lawn at the north and south lined by
Siberian crabapple trees, which bloom with fragrant pink and white blossoms in the spring. At the far west end is the Woodland Slope and a wisteria pergola. At the foot of the pergola is the
Central Carden Fountain with its high misting spray.
